Netizens on the Internet have thrown serious allegations towards the eliminates trainees of Produce 101, and this has caused a lot of challenges for the Product Company.  On June 27, they claimed that the trainees were not allowed to shoot advertisements for three months and those eliminated from the top 20 would not be able to participate in interviews.

Mnet responded to these reports of restrictions placed on trainees eliminated from “Produce 101 Season 2.”

In response, a source from Mnet explained, “There were no such details in the contracts, and they were not even suggested to do so. We only requested that they participate well in the concert rehearsals. While there could be guidelines set on the 11 debut members, we know that it is not right to regulate the non-debut trainees. We have not set such regulations.”
